How to brew soursop leaf tea
1. Rinse 5 dried leaves under running water.
2. Boil them in one cup of water for 10 to 15 minutes with the lid on. Use two cups of water for a milder tea.
3. Turn off the heat and steep for 10 minutes.
4. Strain and drink hot or cold. Add lemon, ginger or a little honey if you like.
Drink no more than two cups a day, and take breaks rather than drinking it daily for months.
Who should not drink soursop tea
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and anyone with Parkinson's disease, kidney disease or liver disease should avoid soursop leaves. If you take blood pressure or diabetes medicine, ask your doctor first, because soursop may lower both further. Stop if you feel dizzy or unwell.
